First Aid Course
Sunday 17th February. Please contact Steve Hodge before the
end of January to book a place as he needs to order materials for the course and
book a suitable venue.
Friday 18th January 08. Pool session at Coleraine Leisure Centre 9.00pm -10.00pm. Contact
Gary Lamont. Kayak - £5 Swim - £1. Sessions are well filled already. Please
inform Gary if you are unable to take up your slot as there is always a waiting
list.
Sunday 20th January 08. Surf kayaking at the White Rocks. 10.00 onwards. Contact Robin
Ruddock. An alternative venue may be used if surf is unsuitable.

out. Sessions are well filled already. Please inform Gary if you are unable to

This event is based at Bushmills Education Centre and offers the chance to meet

Surf kayaking sessions take
place each Sunday morning from 10.00

Rivers
of the Lough Neagh Basin.
Sunday trips for experienced paddlers. These trips will take all day and are
most suitable for open canoe and touring kayaks. The aim is to explore all the
rivers that flow into Lough Neagh and some trips may include an overnight camp
or bivvy. Contact John Vance.

Training
for racing kayaks K1/K2s takes place most Wednesday evenings at Movanagher Canal

2nd – Monday 5th May 08. Coast to Coast Adventure Race.
Multi-discipline adventure race from the Atlantic to the Irish Sea. Contact
Keith Fitzsimmons.
Saturday
10th May 08. Portrush Sea Kayak Races. Meet at Portrush
Harbour at 11.00am. Races for single and double sea kayaks. U16, U18, O18.
Classes will be for male and female paddlers. Junior £2 adult £4.Contact Robin

24th May 08. Portrush Raft Race Safety Cover. Paddlers should
park in the West Bay and paddle across to the beach by the teas and ices hut for
2.00pm. G.P. kayaks are the most suitable and paddlers should hold Kayak Safety

Sea kayak skills and rescue techniques based at Portrush Harbour. This is a good
opportunity to brush up on your sea kayaking skills in preparation for the

20th April 08. Foundation Safety and RescueTraining. Meet
at Portrush Harbour at 10.00am. This award replaces the old Canoe Safety Test.
It will involve rescue training with open canoes and kayaks. Contact Robin

Sea kayak skills and rescue techniques based at Portrush Harbour. Meet at 10.00

S.Donegal. Sea kayaking with the
possibility of surf in the area. Wild camping.

beginners and improvers in kayak and canoe skills. Meet at University of Ulster
